About...

Jeff Klein is an architect who focuses on designing custom homes in the Pacific Northwest, and enjoys collaborating closely with clients to bring their visions to life.

His love of the outdoors and design were established early on, when Jeff lived in Australia and traveled throughout Asia.  Jeff obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Architectural Sciences from the University of Illinois in 1994 before moving to Bend, Oregon where he spent two years working in various building trades.   This provided him not only with hands-on construction experience, but also gave him an appreciation for the importance of close coordination between the building professions.  Following this, Jeff obtained a Master’s of Architecture Degree at the University of Oregon in 1997.

Jeff’s strengths in design and project administration were honed while working for eight years in Aspen, Colorado with CCY Architects.  CCY is one of the leading firms in the country specializing in mountain and modern architecture and was recently recognized as the 2017 AIA Firm of the Year in the US Western Mountain Region. As a Project Manager, Jeff worked with the most discerning international clients on a diverse range of projects across the US.  He learned about the importance of a ‘Quality Design Process’ and developed a passion for residential design and the value of a strong architect/client relationship.

Jeff returned to Bend in 2006 and has collaborated on hundreds of projects across the Pacific Northwest region.  He is familiar with the unique demands of building in the region – whether that be designing a new structure or remodeling a single-family home, multi-unit dwelling or Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU).

Jeff partners with a strong team of interior designers, contractors, landscape architects and real estate professionals to address his clients’ needs and ensure their projects are managed efficiently and cost effectively.  Jeff has an understanding of both excellence and economy and how to balance the two for his clients.  He knows from experience that more time spent on the drawing board results in more accurate pricing and a smoother construction process.  Jeff puts this philosophy into practice for all his clients.
